When walking the streets of Berlin, have you ever wondered whether you're standing in the former East or West Berlin?

As someone who moved to Berlin, I've always been fascinated by how visibly its history still shapes the city. Berlin may be one city again, but decades of division left traces everywhere—some obvious, others easy to miss if you don't know what to look for.

I created East/West Berlin as a simple way to answer that question: Am I in the former East or West?

And, hopefully, to make some of those traces a little easier to see.
